Just a silly idea I've had in my head for a while - I've know loads of people who've owned invertebrate pets, and haven't realized that they have to shed their skins to grow...leading to subsequent panic when they find the moulted exoskeleton and mistake it for their beloved pet's desiccated corpse. (One friend of mine ended up holding a solemn burial for her hermit crab's old skin before discovering the truth...) So here's Clanker, making the same mistake with her invertebrate housemate.
...Of course, Clanker being Clanker, it takes her a little while to notice that Popcorn's a bit quiet this morning. And immobile. And hollow.

Ah! Oh noes! I looked inside the beautifully shaded abyss on its back, now my soul's gonna be taken... 
I love this lil comic! Poor, poor Clanker's probably gonna be traumatized, thinking her big floofy friend is dead! And there's Popcorn, looking rather cute, his fur all wet! And the little detail of him being lighter in color does well to show that he's still soft and squishable! And for some reason, I like how you drew the discarded head on the last panel! The angle is amazing!
